It was hard to get it, and many of you helped me so much, so I would
like to share.
My client need 3 photos to show each tattoo he makes: one thumbnail,
one small size e one in high resolution. I couldn't use the wonderful
|image_recadre because he wants to choose where to crop.
Then I have one article per image, using the logo for the thumbnail,
and one document per article (the high image is the document and its
thumbnail is the small size). The small size image is called by
thickbox, and each one has a little magnifying glass below that calls
the high image.
Hi everyone. i have questions that have to do with the way SPIP handles images, the image cache and the image filters you can apply. I did ask in here awhile back about that already and i can't speak any french so i usually do not check other SPIP development places but maybe anyone on here can help me or point me in the right direction.
I am using SPIP with a HTML framework to generate fluid layouts that work in every browser. I made a bit of Javascript that will work on the images in the webpage and re-load them in exactly the right size for the size the page is displayed at by each user. So if you resize your browser window, not only will the images be resized but even replaced with a newly generated version of the image in exactly the right size. That way the webpage is fully fluid and images are always in perfect quality.
However, because i do not know how to call the SPIP image functions from my javascript i made my own filter with php and use that. This has come so far that i even use a pre-filter in my mes_functions file that even looks similar to the SPIP image filters.
Now is there a way to call the SPIP image filters somehow from the page in the browser? The way i do it now is simply to get an Image in the form of arton1.100.100.jpg from an folder on the webserver that triggers a little php file which then gets the arton1.jpg file from the SPIP image folder and gives it back resized to 100x100 px. I put all my filters into the filename like that so it'll cache once its generated, like this for example with color filter applied and text added: http://www.metrotown.de/IMGCACHE/arton341.456.456.i.d.996633.aaccff.t.280.450.50.ffffff.hello.png
Isn't it possible to make something that works like that and keep use of the SPIP and its image tags and filters?
Is there anyone i can talk to about that?
best regards
Chris
