spip installation glitches-www.enfuegohoops.com

Hi and good morning,

Upon uploading all the spip files on to my hosts server, and after step 3,

« From within your browser, go to your site into the folder « ecrire », where SPIP will provide you with a graphical interface allowing you to configure the system. Once you provide the configuration information, SPIP will be completely installed and you can start working on your site, » nothing happened.

After opening the ecrire file nothing happened, the files on are the server, could they be in the wrong folder, that is, not in the root folder? I thought the process of installation would happen automatically. My domain is www.enfuegohoops.com however it is not public yet so as I test the site I use www.enfuegohoops.com/update. Does this matter? I’m just trying to get spip up and running to organize the content for the sight but I’ve made a wrong turn somewhere. Can you help?

The mysql information is already set up, I’m not sure where I have gone wrong. Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated. My apologies for I am just a rookie! Thanks in advance for your help, I look forward to your reply.

Take care,
Justin Brink

This sounds like the same problem I had. You have to delete (or rename) the file inc-connect.php3. I think it may be documented somewhere. To be honest, I can’t recall how I discovered this but it fixed the problem for me.
