Hi,
can you give us more details on how you did the upgrading ?
Did you just replace the files of the old version, or imported the spip 2.0.10 dump into a fresh install ?
Which was you old version ? Are you on a linux or window server ?

Hi,
I had SPIP 2.0.10 [14698] and I replaced the files on the old version to upgrade it. But before that I renamed the old folder /tmp folder and uploaded the new empty folder of the new SPIP version.
My website is on a Linux server.

Hi,
I just successfully updated a site from 2.0.10 to 2.1.0 (official) Server Suse Linux 11. The site uses the following plugins:
- Diapo
- Couteau suisse
- SPIP Bonux
- Thickbox v2
The layout/design is SPIP default.
You may compare what you did with the steps I took:
1. made a SPIP database backup copy
2. emptied the SPIP cache
3. copied the old SPIP with all it's files and directories into a new folder
4. changed all SPIP-files' owner to the FTP-User's ID (due to some free hoster's config SPIP sets several fils's owner to wwwrun after an automatic install, same for the automatic plugin install) just to be sure that no ownership conflict occurs during update procedure.
5. uploaded SPIP 2.1.0 by FTP overwriting SPIP 2.0.1.0. During this step FTP produces several messages because all directories already exist (that is not a problem, but one should know that it may occur):
550 IMG: File exists
: /web/spip/IMG
550 local: File exists
: /web/spip/local
550 prive: File exists
: /web/spip/prive
550 contenu: File exists
: /web/spip/prive/contenu
550 editer: File exists
: /web/spip/prive/editer
550 formulaires: File exists
: /web/spip/prive/formulaires
550 images: File exists
: /web/spip/prive/images
550 infos: File exists
: /web/spip/prive/infos
550 javascript: File exists
: /web/spip/prive/javascript
550 modeles: File exists

550 polices: File exists
: /web/spip/squelettes-dist/polices
550 tmp: File exists
: /web/spip/tmp
6. reloaded private start page
/spip/ecrire/?exec=accueil
SPIP tells me, that I must set write permissions for the directory tmp (I set the following directories to 777 because the permissions may have changed as a consequence of the FTP upload:
server:/spip # chmod -R 777 config
server:/spip # chmod -R 777 IMG
server:/spip # chmod -R 777 local
server:/spip # chmod -R 777 plugins/auto
server:/spip # chmod -R 777 tmp
)
7. reloaded private start page
/spip/ecrire/?exec=accueil
SPIP 2.1.0 [15608] is installed and requires the usual db update
8. DB update http://www.myserver.com/spip/ecrire/?exec=upgrade&reinstall=non
9. ID verification trhouh FTP
That's it, everything is fine, beside
Fatal error: Call to undefined function BOUCLE_docs_diapohtml_121f5dab776975321a4e49b3dae8560f() in /spip/ecrire/public/composer.php(69) : eval()'d code on line 153
10. switched off plugin Diapo in /spip/ecrire/?exec=admin_plugin and emptied cache
/spip/ecrire/?exec=admin_vider, finally everything is OK
11. I want to keep Diapo so I reinstall it by FTP (the version still is 0.6 and the file's date is 2009/06/02)
Same problem on every page using the diapo plugin. Apparently though running fine under SPIP 2.0.1.0 Diapo is not compatible with SPIP 2.1.0. I shall have to choose another gallery plugin. No problem, there are lots of them.
Now I shall do myself a pleasure and add a pretty ZPIP design and some new plugins Maybe try a fancy flash gallery ...

No, it isn't. See: http://www.spip-contrib.net/Plugin-Diapo#forum426226
I have changed the galleries on our site to a simple 3 column display + Fancybox when you click on a photo.
Fancybox also allows one to scroll through the large images either with the mouse wheel or using the arrow keys.

HTTP 302 message is sometimes due to an utf-8 *with BOM* encoded file :
mes_fonctions.php, mes_options.php, a form, personnal langage file, ...
