Multi-site provisioning with a shared SPIP kernel

I know, multi-site provisionings has almost been beaten to death on the list. But I still didn’t get. Read:

I am trying to establish « Multi-site provisioning with a shared SPIP kernel » accordingly to http://www.spip.net/en_article3581.html. It seems it could be working for me one day. What still puzzles me is how to tell the dependent sites that they are from now on administered by spip. E.g., I have the following structure -

www.master.com/spip/… with the spip kernel and all provisions made for existing -

www.master.com
www. dependent-1.com
www. dependent-2.com
www. dependent-3.com

The article m.a. does not contain any clue what to put into the dependent domains. I am not talking about a redirect from, say, www. dependent-1.com to www.master.com/spip/dependent-1.com. Redirecting any site to a paricular spip rubrique is no big deal.

No, it's not redirecting, it's url rewriting.

Your "answer" is:

No, it's not redirecting, it's url rewriting.

The cited article says:

  "Redirecting to the right location"

"it is necessary that the address ... be redirected to"

"The first rewrite rule redirects addresses like ..."

"The second rewrite rule redirects anything ..."

  "... for example : ... is redirected to ..."

"... this redirection is transparent, and ..."

"And how to redirect all the appropriate directories ..."

"... but it requires the redirection of URLs ..."

"# Redirection to the SPIP kernel"

"# Only addresses like ... should be redirected"

Stop here. Ten are enough.

Hi all

Can list members recommend me some good, secure and stable forum plugin for spip? I have found this one: http://forum.spip.org/en_186532.html#forum186551
It points here:
http://zone.spip.org/trac/spip-zone/browser/squelettes/forum.spip.org
But I don't know how to install it - copy in /plugins/forum folder?

Also easy to find is this:
http://www.spip-contrib.net/+-Forums-+
But unfortunately it is in French, language that I don't know. So I would like to know the opinion of more advanced spip users…

Another plugin that I'm searching for is one that will allow visitors of my website to post simple advertisement messages along with their email (hidden to other users). Later any visitor should be able to write answer to their message, which will not be shown on the website, but advertisement author will receive it by email. The most simple way to make this is if advertisement messages are actually articles, and every article has forum that is pre-moderated. This way I think advertisement authors will receive messages whenever somebody post them comment (in my case answer to their advertisement). But I don't like this solution - the authors should be registered spip users for this, and they have to post from private area, and I don't want all this. I just want one simple form for posting messages with "category", "title", "email" and "text" fields. Maybe there is some more elegant solution that you can suggest me?

Thanks in advance,
Danail

P.S. Is there any way for searching spip-en mail list archives? I didn't found...

You can use Google for that (with site restricted search) :
For exemple to search anything related to 'forum', I use this query :

"site:Discuter chez rezo.net forum"

My 2 cents,

Gilles
