#LOGO_ARTICLE not taking translated logo

Dear All,

I have recently noticed that on one of my websites a lot of images disappeared on the translated articles.

Before, the translated articles simply took the logo from the original article, if it had one set. (I’m using the #LOGO_ARTICLE tag).

I am not sure what changed this behavior (or if this is the default behaviour) - but this was really great and I would like to get this functionality back. Otherwise I have to upload all logos to the other articles as well.

Does anyone know how to do that, or why this functionality could appear/disappear? Perhaps this functionality is part of a plugin?

I’ve updated to the latest stable version but still #LOGO_ARTICLE does not use the original article’s logo on the translated articles.

Warm regards,
Urs

It could be related to the new way of managin logos as documents.
I translated an abstract of your issue and sent it to the spip-dev mailing list.

Discussion goes on on spip-dev. FYI Here are some cited links :

Could it be that you use(d) the "multilingue" plugin ?
Maybe this plugin's behaviour has not been upgraded to work nicely with new 3.3 logos.

Hi,
I use plugin Rôles de documents.

Maybe you had installed the same one?

Urs a répondu : Indeed I am using the "Easy Multiligual website" plugin. I have disabled it now, but I still don't see the logos in other languages. So maybe the issue is elsewhere ? I am using SPIP 3.2.7

Nope : as far as i understand the thread, the feature you are looking for is part or "Multilingue" plugin,
and when you have issues with it, the issue should be fixed in it.

Beside : when you're on SPIP 3.2.7 then there is no change of SPIP core's logo management.
so i really dont know.
You'll have to debug this.
In the meanwhile, you could use some `(ARTICLES){traduction}{origine_traduction}` dedicated loop.

PS : Please keep your answers on the list so everyone reads it.

Dear All,

Thank you for the clarifications JLuc and Kamran and pointing me in the right direction. I’ve managed to solve the issue:

I found the issue on line 8 of multilingue_functions.php in v2.1.0 of Multilingue plugin.

The code checks if we are on SPIP v3.2, but as JLuc says it should really check if we are on 3.3.

So I’ve changed

if (spip_version_compare(spip_version( ), ‹ 3.2.* ›, ‹ < ›))

to

if (spip_version_compare(spip_version( ), ‹ 3.3.* ›, ‹ < ›)) {

and now I got the old « translated logo » behavior back. Thank you!

Warm regards,
Urs

Hello All,

Rainer Müller, the creator of the Multilingue plugin reports that this bug is fixed in the released version 2.1.1. of the Multilingue plugin.

Thanks everyone for helping debug this and Rainer to push it live!

Warm regards,
Urs
