Hi Paul,
no, moderation of signups in SPIP is not included because there is no
urgent need for such a feature. If you want to manually inscribe your authors, you may create an
e-mail form for applicants, enter the new autor's name/id/password into SPIP and send the info
to the author in your reply.
The automatic signup has been developed to make life easier for admins who do not want to
lose time with this procedure.
Maybe the feature you request will be included in future versions of
SPIP.
Regards,
Klaus.
Hi,
I'm creating a members section on my site using spip to authenticate
my site members, as they will all have author access. However, I would like to allow members to request access to the site
themselves. e.g. Sign up as an author from the website. However, I want any signup requests to be approved by one of the
site administrators before we send them a username & password. Is this possible within spip, or am I going to have to change this
into a "mail admin" type form, then get the admins to create the
accounts from scratch. Not ideal, as they'll know the users
passwords!I think this would be a good feature for spip if its not possible
already.Regards,
Paul_______________________________________________
