Qu'est-ce qu'on peut faire pour aider quelqu'un qui veut bien traduire SPIP en chinois
mais ne parle que l'anglais? Je crois qu'il ne le connaît pas encore très bien ...

because this will be a occasion to improve my poor Chinese
In fact the french authors of SPIP want to share it with the world.
They make it freely available under the GPL (GNU Public License). You
may access their homepage under http://spip.org (or http://www.uzine.net/spip/) - most of the content there is in French.
They have even developed an online interface for translating SPIP into
different languages. SPIP is UTF8 compatible therefore it can be
translated into non-european languages.
I shall forward this mail to the translator's mailing list to get some
further information about how to help you with using and translating
SPIP.

I will play with it and will try to translate it into Chinese in
my spre time. Any guard document for translation?
I have learned that SPIP is very powerful and very popular in
France.But the Frenches do not want to share it with the world :).I
think it needs a promotion in China.

Je pense qu'on peut lui dire de s'inscrire sur spip-en, et
que nous soyons quelques uns à lui faire relais en
anglais...
S'il ne comprend que l'anglais, l'interface de traduction ne lui sera pas utile puisque la langue d'rogine est le francais.
A mon avis, il peut ouvrir le fichier spip_en.php3, remplacer les chaines anglaises par le chinois, renommer le fichier et l'envoyer a qui de droit.

n'y a qu'une dizaine d'éléments à traduire ; mais pour choisir la langue de
référéence, à partir de laquelle on veut traduire, on peut très bien prendre
ce qu'on veut : allemand, danois, anglais...

pour en faire un "vrai" projet indépendant de SPIP. Mais si c'est le cas, il

Je sais je m'en suis souvenu juste apres avoir envoye le message

J'ai traduit le texte dans trad_lang.php3 en anglais mais je ne sais pas ou le mettre.
