trying to chmod / quite difficult ( 2.10 )

Just ran into a problem..
Tried to install spip 2.10
Not possible on my server unfortunately.. ( unix etc..) ( surftown.com)
Spip insist on that I have to chmod to files/folder named:
. ( dot)
and
/ (yes /)

Sinse I cant find these folders/files, I was just wondering I anybody has an idea?

Hi,

do you install SPIP with spip-loader.php or by uploading the content
of http://files.spip.org/spip/stable/spip.zip on your FTP ?
I've already met some difficulties with spip_loader, but never with
the second method.

manual upload..
Manual chmod..
Did even try with a 777 on the entire folder ( website or /folder)

after a few chmods I found out it "stays" at instance 4 and then keeps going to "you need to chmod something" ( keeps insisting on that aI have to chmod .(dot) and /
First upload ( manual)
did keep
IMG ( status 777)
tried deleting folder still didnt work..
skipping 2.10
found a 2.09 something.. it worked..
