time offset?

Is it possible to globally set time offset in SPIP?

Timezone on my server is different from my local timezone.

Marko

It's different from your timezone, but it's always the case (surfers
are on all the world, so there is always a gap between their timezone
and the dates in the articles). Where does this gap create a problem ?

Most of my visitors are from my timezone, so the date and time mean something to them. If we publish some article at 21:00, it is confusing for our visitors if displayed time is 12:00, or we publish something at 02:00 and visitors see it as it was published yesterday.

Many scripts (forums etc.) have the option to set the time offset (+/-) somewhere in configuration menu.

It is similar to listening to radio from the other part of the world. If you hear morning news at 5pm, you know that the reason is the radio station is not located in your timezone, but their local listeners would be really confused if the radio broadcasts morning news in the evening.

The code doesn't show anything like this, sorry.
You should submit it as a request on Trac
(http://trac.rezo.net/trac/spip/newticket)
