the svn versions.. can U get them with ftp?

I tried to download a svn version of spipbb the other day..
Im on a mac, so I have to download every single file ( and after down lod change name from eg. html back to php and more)
Is there any way on a "non pC" to get the svn versions as ftp, or with other software then a browser ( http)
Tom

I know it a bit off topic.. but I hope its ok!

If you’re on Leopard then you probably already have the usual command line tools for dealing with Subversion installed (I don’t think that you need developer tools installed, but you might).

Try opening Terminal.app and running svn:

my-macbook:~ me$ svn
Type ‹ svn help › for usage.
my-macbook:~ me$

If you get something like « svn: command not found », then you don’t have it.

If you’re more comfortable with a GUI, or are on a pre-Leopard release then you could try RapidSVN <http://www.rapidsvn.org/> which is a cross-platform client written in C++.

I'm using svnX on my Mac, it works perfectly and is really simple to use !
I wrote a tutorial here : http://zine.spip.org/spip.php?article44

svnX can be downloaded here :

(other screenshots, and documentation can be found here)

Hello,

most of the plugins developed on spip-zone are also available as archive snapshots here:
http://files.spip.org/spip-zone/
These are usually snapshots of a stable version of the plugin updated daily (or even more often, not sure).

Got example for spipbb:
http://files.spip.org/spip-zone/plugin-spipBB.zip

you can use ftp to download them from here too I think.
