I'm about to start a new project that will require me to write plug-ins to integrate with several external packages. I think I saw somewhere that 2.0 will have an improved plug-in interface, so I'd like to use it if possible but I'm not sure of it's status. Is the svn version stable enough to use in production installations (I don't mind working around minor problems), or should I wait for the official 2.0 release?
SPIP 2.0 is very close to completion, we are waiting for translators
and new bug reports.

Yeah, I've seen some really interesting things being done -- I'm just waiting for our designers to give me a reason to use them. Hopefully I'll get some of the functionality on this project into a plug-in to release, but we'll have to see.
