I try to install SPIP-1.5.1, i have php-4.2.3 and mysql-4.0.9 installed. SPIP
at the second step tells that the connection success but at the fourth step
give message error :
Fatal error : Call to undefined function : mysql_create_db()
my mysql accepts connection by root with password with all privileges and by
any users without password and without privileges what i can do ? thanks karl
I have also try SPIP-1.5.2 but i get the same problem

Hi, I was working with Karl on this problem and his SPIP looks happy with the
anonymous connection to the DB. So, it does not ask for username and password
at installation time, and then... it is not happy.
What is very strange is that on his server PhpMyAdmin works normally... So i
suggested him to put the config by hand, but *after installation* he does not
have any ecrire/inc_connect.php3 file as I have so I don't know where could
he put the correct db config.
What I can not understand is : I also have that version of MySQL, a user with
privileges and an anonymous user can connect but sees only the "test" db. But
when I installed SPIP, I was asked to give the username and password for the
DB. How comes that Karl's DB does NOT ask for username and password at
installation time ? ? ? He has been reinstalling MySQL and SPIP several times
but his SPIP 1.5.1 is always like he says...

May be now if u delete inc_connect.php3 it should works ? I'm not sure. Ask
the PROs !-)
