Hello,

First off, I have recently discovered SPIP and I am totally amazed by its capabilities. The only problem with the system is the lack of English documentation, but google translator helps me a lot with this... :stuck_out_tongue:
OK, my problem is the following: is the spip-clear template compatible with 1.9.x? If so, how the hell could I install it? I have read all the docs, translated them etc. etc. This is the only thing that we need for our University journal.
If anyone could help, I should be most grateful.

Excuse us, :wink:

I've never use Spip-clear but it should work with spip 1.9x without
problem. In fact, http://www.spip-blog.net/ uses it, and it's a recent
version of spip.

Installation is very easy. Just unzip the file and upload the
/squelettes directory into the root of your site, at the same level
thar ./ecrire or ./dist

SPIP automatically detects your new personalized set of templates, and
will use it.

Just try it!

I've tested Spip-Clear on 1.9.2a and it worked fine.

Just unzip the archive and copy contents of SPIPClear

directory (I mean all the files and directories with the

names of article.htm, list.htm, balise, themes, ...) in the

/squelettes directory (you have to make it yourself) into the

root directory.

It worked for me. At the first it showed an strange error (about

the ARCHIVE field in MySQL database?) but after that it worked

normally ! :slight_smile: It also recognized our Right-to-Left layouts. Great.

Thanks for the reply, tried this before and it works now (strange), but it has many errors: I get 404 on my main page and it has many flaws regarding the comments and the overall layout, I'll see what I can do.
