To publish you site on the Web, you must have it hosted on a web server on
the Internet. But in the mean time, you may want to make a few tests and
tweaks without being bothered by a slow Internet connection, and avoid
having your future visitors admire too soon your first attempts. The
solution is to host your own small "web server" on your personal computer,
for your private experiments. This is called "working locally".
For users having a PC running with Windows, the simplest solution for
experimenting with SPIP is to install EasyPHP on your own computer.
The site "Ecran de Bureau" proposes, on SPIP-Contrib, a PDF file with
