My notes on writing this plug-in are reasonably incomplete (it’s mostly a list of stuff that doesn’t work), but its about 9 A4 pages or so currently. Where’s the best place to make it public: spip.net, plugins.spip.net, spip-contrib.net, doc.spip.org, our company web-site, or my personal blog (or some combination)?
In fact it’s not a problem if you do not post any documentation on spip-contrib, even if it’s strongly recommended (because a lot of personns only search for documentation on this website, and your plugin is better referenced on spip-contrib witch is dedicated to the documentation of plugins and contributions)
spip.net is for the official documentation of SPIP, not it’s plugins.
doc.spip.org is a geek area with a very restrictive access 
plugins.spip.net is a place to list the plugin and find them easilly, but there isn’t any strong documentation inside.
Sometimes, the basic documentation is on spip-contrib, and the more detailled (or the most up-to-date) is elsewhere.
You can use a combination of spip-contrib and your company web-site without problem.
