Cannot execute install.php3 on SPIP 1.8.2

Hello,

I am restoring the RULE website. To do it I have to reinstall SPIP
1.8.2, so I can load the xml dump in it and then upgrade.

That is, I cannot install directly the latest version of SPIP.

I installed the files, changed the permission of the directories. The
install procedure started without problems. Now I have just inserted
database address, connection login and connection password in
http://www.rule-project.org/ecrire/install.php3?etape=1.

when I click on "Next >>" I get the firefox pop-up window saying "You
have chosen to open install.php3 which is a php script. What should
Firefox do with this file? Open it with [editor] or save to disk?"

Why is this happening? Why that file _is_ executed as php once
(otherwise I wouldn't get to this stage) but not the second time?

TIA,
  Marco

Real Programmers don't play tennis, or any other sport that requires
you to change clothes. Mountain climbing is OK, and real programmers
wear their climbing boots to work in case a mountain should suddenly
spring up in the middle of the machine room.

I’ve read on spip.user that the last version of Spip uploads old dumps without any pb.
Try with the 1.9.1 and it should work…

To reply more precisely to your question, I have no idea about what happens…
